Tongue Twisted

Tongue Twisted

A Poem by pheasant

Penelope passed the purple pansies
Perfectly potted like pretty planties
Cindy sought to sell selected samples
So Sammy set six succulent stems aside

Freddy found four fan-faced fluffies
Firmly fixed five feet from Phil's foot
Hank handed half, whole-heartedly hoping he'd help
Fanciful Freddy fixedly fitted the flowers fairly

Heading home happy he held himself highly
Wheeling while whistling wild whims
Wandering by winding wisps of wind
Pulling past perpendicular, he parked perfectly

Taking time to translate
Tall tales he told to twelve transfixed travelers
Totaling twenty-two tokens spoken
His tongue twisted... broken

What a very clever poem , tongue twister. I love the way it reads.. the names of the people and flowers that could cause our tongues to twist if we repeated them.. never have been good with tongue-twisters. Purple Pansies are such sweet and beautiful flowers. My mom always would tell me to look at the Pansy's face and it does resemble a face somewhat.. love this poem .. always good to mix it up a little.. your last verse brings it all home..

This tactfully and tastefully tantalized my tongue with tempting thoughts.

Nice twist of diction dictated!
