Cease To Chore

Cease To Chore

A Poem by pheasant

We share this air
This life
This love
Radiate our fate
And stand above

We hustle and tussle
And flex our muscle
Complicating
Still vacating
The perfect presence
The one true essence

But underlying every sound
Pulling for to come around
The supple soup
The grizzled goop
The making of this alley-oop

So
Let it be known
Let it be grown
Let understanding take the fore
And all commanding cease to chore

There is a song by Live called Leave some Change .. or maybe The Waitress, sorry i am not sure but he sings.. 'we all get aids, we all get the flu, we've got to learn to live together... so leave some change '... the first verse reminded me of the song in that we all share this planet, we are all connected.. everyone of us regardless of race, religion , color , creed.. and we have got to learn to get along before it is too late...We are always searching for the perfect something.. things are not always perfect, in fact seldom are they 'perfect' this is a search in vain ...understanding life can be a mystery .. I used to think what is the meaning of life, why am I here? I am finding some of those answers.. "So let it be known ,let it grown, life understanding take the fore, and all commanding cease to fore", this is a telling verse.. I agree with it/you and this verse is one of those that pops..:
"But underlying every sound
Pulling for to come around
The supple soup
The grizzled goop
The making of this alley-oop"

All things must pass ..before all can be achieved. I enjoyed this inspiring and 'thinking' poem.

Nice ponder! I had visions of equal and just societies being formed...when all commanding ceased to chore. Really enjoyed the flow and subtle depth of meaning.
An outstanding work.

A short almost light-hearted poem with a lot of meaning .. in fact it could be the lyrics of a song because of its meter. There are certainly many things in life to perplex us .. trouble is it's the 'us' that make it that way!
