Goodbye, My LoveA Poem by Melanie NicoleBreaking Up. Oh yeah. It sucks. The End. :)My first love, the one I gave everything too, what changed? Why did you want a life anew? There's no way that you do not want me near. Do you know how many tears I cried? A hundred for ever second it took our love to die. You said you'd hold me as long as you live; How could you end it -- I had everything to give! White picket fences, babies, love and life; You wanted it all, yet we end in grief and strife. Five seconds later and you have someone new; Did I ever mean anything at all to you? Yet here I sit, not crying, typing in my chair; Even though it's not purple, I know have pretty hair I laugh at you and that cliche and "new" girl; I'm sure that she'll take you for quite a whirl We used to make fun of girls like that; My love, whatever happened? Where are you at? Surprisingly, it's in the past and I am over you now; I have not the slightest clue how I have my friends, my lights shining through; I've been here before, and it's not all that new. I've rediscovered myself and my one true love; My best friend, and my angel from above. What did not kill me really did make me stronger; I've finally realized that I don't need you any longer. Goodbye, my love. Goodbye.
