Time Travel

A Poem by Fabricio Hersoguenrath
"

Some thoughts about past.

"

Hey! What's up? I was thinking and I wanna time travel. Seriously. I miss a lot of things and I miss people from my damn past. Especially who I used to be. I have changed a lot over the years and change scares me. Any kind of change scares me. I have to learn how to deal with that.

I think Holden Caulfield was right when he said: "Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody".

Let's face it, time travel it's impossible. So I really should take Holden's advice. He's goddamn right.

If I ever had a chance to go back in the past, I wouldn't change anything, I'll be tempted but I will try my best not to change anything, because I believe when you do change something, you'll cause a ripple of changes not only in yourself but others as well. Like the saying goes: you can't undo what you've already done.

Yeah, it is true we change over time as it passes us, I've lost some friends and I gains some, that totally depends on us, we miss something in the past, but that's in the past, if we kept on thinking about it, it will prison us from improvement of what is now...

"Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody".

I think he's right, but if you don't you'll get lonely and alone, right? I guess for me, you do what you love to do of what's today, not minding too much of the past or even the future.. its okay to think about them, but not to the point that it will affect our reality of today... the reality is - we lost something and gain something in return, perhaps that's the natural order of things in life..

I like this piece, it is not a poem, but it is something to ponder about, to reflect on the things life given us. A very thought provoking piece sir.. good job!

The Catcher In The Rye...I can relate to what you're saying. I think most people probably can. We all miss people and places from our past.

That's right, Robert. We have to learn to deal with it.
Thanks for review.
This is good, I would most likely place this in as Poem, rather then a story it seems to lye more so in that category ! Good read.
