The Pursuit of HappinessA Poem by peyton s
Who knew a person could be filled with so much love
A person filled with so much hate Who has no stories All he ever wanted was a family A man who is so confused A boy who is so lost The never ending road of thoughts to which he was lost Wishing he could just find that one person to share the love Always wanting the answer to the problem of why he is confused Wanting to know why he is consumed in negativity and hatred Not receiving the attention needed from anyone or his family All he ever wanted was a hint, a clue, or even a story Never listening to the put downs or hurtful stories Wondering through life not knowing where to turn or when to admit he is lost Doubtful who to trust and who to call family Craving the acceptance and love Trying to run away from disappointment and hate Praying not to turn the wrong way but everything is so foggy and confusing All he wants is to get to the other side of this giant wall of confusion always wondering where he came from but can't figure out the stories Attempting to dodge the snowballing effect of hate So much focus is put on this and now he is lost Now he just searches for the person that wants his love He can't find one person, not even his family Now he wonders if there is such a thing as a family Nothing now can stop these muggy thoughts and confusion Could this be the end of his search for love? Could this be the end to all of his stories? Wondering if he can settle with being lost Still advising himself that there is more to life than hate There is now glimpses of the stress being relieved for there is no more hate Through the slowly clearing fog he can see his mother and the rest of his family Could it be that he is no longer lost? There is no longer a never ending maze of mass confusion It now seems there is faith of where he is from and the tale of his stories Has he finally finished searching for love? It appears that all of his hate and confusion have vanished He has found his family and heard the stories of who he is and what he was He is no longer lost and has reached his objective, love.
