THE SPIRIT OF THE SUN

THE SPIRIT OF THE SUN

A Poem by Peter Rogerson
"

A fancy look at the sun and the influence it may have on our lives.

"

The sun reached out its tentacle,
It explored down all my years,
It warmed my heart last winter,
It dried up all my tears.

It wandered down my heartaches,
It kissed this heart of mine,
It touched my soul at morning,
And taught me how to shine.

And when the winter's cold hoar
Reaches out for you and me,
And we are guided onwards,
It'll teach us how to see.

I'll see your face, my darling,
When age has scribbled deep,
The sun will shine upon you
As your life fades into sleep.

And we will go together,
Two souls entwined as one,
Two shadows guided onwards
By the Spirit of the Sun

I love the theme the sun as your 'north star' through your life. I especially like the end, and hope for this for my husband and me. A very beautiful, sweet expression that I resonate with completely. Romantic, but also true.

I will read it now. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
That is exactly the feeling that the sun always give to me. A never-ending warmth though the seasons changed, yet the memories remains..
