PRETTY

PRETTY

A Poem by Peter Rogerson
"

Just a little reverie....

"

Pretty, sitting there

with your angel smile,

pretty golden hair

wait with me awhile.

Take this hand in yours,

lips so soft on mine,

words are open doors,

sunlight, moonshine.

Pretty sitting there

stay by my side,

and your golden hair,

eyes so open wide

let the years roll by,

let the devil burn,

eyes open to the sky,

watch for hope's return...

and when the chiming clock

reaches an end,

with never a tick nor tock,

remain my friend,

pretty sitting there,

pretty golden hair...

Ah!!!! What a poetry!
Ending is very captivating. Liked the coloring either. It's a very fascinating write that speaks the virtue of dreamers (lovers). Nicely captured!

I have a collection of elf-penned poems that I am slowly revising and posting here every so often.

Elf penned? U meant, self penned? Right?

Ooops. I'm so very good at typos!! Yes, self-penned.
Your words flow like a sparkling brook. Beautiful!
