My Winter Tribute

My Winter Tribute

A Poem by David Keagan
"

Short, little poem describing the little things in life that we enjoy this time of year.

"
What do I give to someone who has given me everything?
As i sit in front of the windowpane and watch tiny flurries fall from the endless skies.
The fireplace crackles while i sip my looseleaf blended tea.
The house is so warm and cozy,
I just want to curl up in bed and get lost in a dream with no boundaries.
I look to my right and watch the Christmas tree slowly rotate,
I never thought i'd see the day that i would think a tree looked so graceful and comforting.
The evening slowly turns to a dark dusk and it's beautiful,
Everything is beautiful.
My eyes feel lucky just to be able to see the simple things in life
Fore they fill my heart with joy and laughter.
I feel fortunate,
But what do I give to someone who has given me everything?
