Good and bad stuff peter is not confliction but rather fatefulness, the ominous prophecy-momentous consequence-deadly catastrophic-foreordained blues of living. Seeking favor by servile flattery,
forced marriage, child prostitution, the African diamond trade, crack and meth addiction is no
greater self hate than the love of Nazism, symbols of the confederacy, food addictions or going
to Walmart for bargains is to love. What I mean sir is that confliction is in the degree of what is
love and what is hate, or sadness or happiness and not in the results of these absolutes.

do you know the Native American story of the two wolves, Peter? The old man teaching his grandson about the 2 wolves inside him; one that is light and loving and peaceful and compassionate and trusting; the other suspicious and dark and mean and spiteful? How they are always fighting each other. The grandson asks, "Which one wins, grandpa?" The old man thinks, and replies, "The one I feed, of course."

I think a lot of conflict is like that.

ah that is a nostalgic story which I've told many times it was almost inspired by that but i more believe in the ying and yang because its much more than two sides with that philosophy :) but that story was a touching one

ah but each living thing has far more than 2 sides to it, don't you see that too? Even the "good" wolf has anger, and the "bad" one sleeps at night curled up around soemthing else for comfort. Not to say that one is needed, the other not. they both exist for a reason. Which one is dominant at the time, determines the outlook.

true ..... but an important fact is that within each of those wolves existed the other wolf it may be dormant but they each harbored a piece of each other .

Great write Peter. Simple but that brings it to impactual. The duality captured in this is true of the nature of all things in existence. for as things are born so they die, and for every beauty there is an inevitable fall from grace. It amazes me how some of the simplest pieces are my favorite, I think it is because I am incapable of short writing with strong impact. Thanks for this Peter, it is really right up my alley friend. Sorry for being away recent world events demanded much of my time.
