the repetitive creation

the repetitive creation

A Poem by Peter H
"

i found myself recreating someone in the image i like and i felt like a monster

"

The repetitive creation

So here I am in the phase of recreation

Honing a personality to my needs

a synthetic rein-carnation

praying on this gullible girl to be somehow like the first.

Why do I try so hard to recreate you?

Were you that great?

That sublime that

I try to rebuild our falling country

In your image entirely

Why would I want this collusion again?

Have my ideals really not changed?

Humans learn from their mistakes

But here I am creating another Frankenstein

I guess I hope it won’t hunt me down this time

I hope my own creation doesn't screw me over.

Again.

we often do that, even if unintentionally...

we try to change someone to suit our wants and needs...but forget what attracted us to that person in the first place...then what we have created, turns on us.

just like the monster turned on frankenstein.

"it's alive, it's alive---" but unfortunately its heart is now dead. as is hers whom we have changed.

This is something that speaks of me in a sense. i am guilty of this myself. I often think though that I was not trying to rebuild the perfect person but to fill in holes in myself. I often thought someone else could fix things, only to realize I was the one with the tools, the same tools I was tearing down another and building them back up were meant to repair myself.
Just the strong emotions and thought this piece brought to me. So I say Bravo dear Peter. Bravo.

well mistakes are like an infinity cycle of karma, it keeps repeating and repeating ~ unless you choose to stop it and change course. but then again this is something about the past creation to recreate it into something new again.

well expressed thoughts my friend.
