We are Fated

We are Fated

A Poem by Pester D. Finches

Gone are the days of the sun,

Back into the dark of winter,

I’ve got no business that’s here,

You left me in the dark.

All those many years ago.

Your life keeps on spinning,

While mine has ground to a stop.

You left me by the bed.

Memories in picture frames,

Look at how happy your friends look,

Beaming young faces, no wrinkles,

No frowns, no tears, no blood.

You kissed me goodbye on the cheek,

It looks like you do that quite often,

So I wasn’t special, or was I?

Here you’re kissing her.

How I hate you,

How I love you,

Why is fate so cruel?

hmmm... wonder who you could be thinking of? But I like it, a lot! Reminds me of my ex- boyfriend a little.
