Dancing

Dancing

A Poem by Pester D. Finches
"

trying to take my poetry in a new direction

"

Dancing

Two people, hand in hand, upon the floor,
The music moves them with its steady tones,
His arms around her in a sweet embrace,
His eyes locked up with god-forsaken stare.

She looks up in her best friend’s eyes to see
Him tortured and abused by her sweet gaze.
He sees his love, his life, and all he’s worth
Is bound and gagged by unrequited love.

Short, sweet, and to the point. This is a poem with which many can relate. It is well-written and paints a picture. I definitely enjoyed it. (:
