moon chasing

moon chasing

A Poem by Pester D. Finches

Moon chasing
Oh’ wide, bright, glowing orb,
That draws me from my bed at night
Through the woods, it leads me on
Until’ I could no longer stand.

Ancient dance and ancient song,
Fill my heart from days of old,
Round the woods I skip, I run,
Scream so loud the stars can hear.

“Perfect round and heavenly sphere,
Let me chase thee through the sky,
And let that song that fills my hear,
Never be contained again”.

Wonderful!
This was very fun to read, and the wording fit the poem perfectly.
