The Little Girl

The Little Girl

A Poem by Persephone

The little girl inside of me
weeps for your loss

And of past hurts

When you left

You picked at an old wound

It awakened her

The woman in me

Sheds no tears

For you anymore

Over time

She has grown strong

Learned how to heal

The woman holds the girl now
Tightly to her bosom
"You will survive."

With glistening eyes the girl looks up
Comforted

Able to walk away
holding the hand of the woman
she will one day become

Losing love is tough, but every failed relationship teaches us lessons that help us grow, hopefully, a broken is not the end, if you can feel it beating then you still have life to live and love to give.
