The Root of All EvilA Poem by PersephoneMoney
Want it Need it Get it Lose it
If only If only I was a woman of wealth
I’d be Limitless Carefree
I’d have no regret
I’d buy what I wanted I wouldn’t have debt
Why must I squander the dollars and cents?
Items I once found essential Now I look at with distaste
Because the more I obtain The more that I waste
The irony of it The funny thing is
It’s the wish to be wealthy That keeps my wallet empty © 2012 PersephoneAuthor's Note
