Breath and SoulA Poem by Kimberly DavisA wedding sonnet I wrote for a friend.I view the world through your eyes and it gives sweet breath that feeds my soul to find and seek that piece of you that’s wandered in and lives inside my heart that once was void and weak. How strange to think you’ve been here all along; emotions once thought spent and atrophied, with courage cold, and fear you might be wrong, you took a risk on me to fill that need. And now I long to journey where you tread; north, south, east or west as God would lead with one heart, mind, and soul and strength I wed and sweet abandon this my song and creed: our union shall not fade and, like this rhyme, our breath and soul shall bind us for all time.
