CHAPTER 10: Andrew

Dusty was in her room, she had rocketed outta the backyard after our lips touched. Chris came home a minute later, smelling of grease and fries. 

I commanded him to get up to our room as soon as possible, my legs flying up the stairs but stopping at the top.

Chris yawned then said "Why man? I gotta take a piss." 

"Piss all you want! After you're done, just come up here!" 

I rushed into our room and collapsed on the bed. Well it wasn't really a bed, just two mattresses on the floor to serve as our beds. Bed frames were for squares. 

In the corner was a little desk with Chris's laptop on it, mine was tucked under my mattress to conserve my privacy. On the walls were posters of foods, girls on motorcycles, and movie posters like "Inception". 

On the floor were some piles of dirty clothes which Chris and I picked up when we weren't feeling lazy. A closet was near the desk, which Chris intended to move later so if a monster was in there, it wouldn't take his internet away. 

I sat up and plucked my laptop from the underneath of the mattress. I opened it up and started it.

Man, Chris takes a long time. 

My chat box was opened, someone messaged me ten minutes ago. I double-clicked it and read.

[Fortress0245] you dead?

[Fortress0245] man, listen to meeeee! D:<

[Fortress0245] god, u takin a crap or somethin???

[Andrew8Chips] dude, i was outside, left this thing on. 

[Fortress0245] good, i waited like forever for you

[Andrew8Chips] it was like a minute

[Andrew8Chips] anyways, whaddya need?

[Fortress0245] i dont need anything, just gotta tell you something

[Andrew8Chips] then spit it out, ya a*s.

[Fortress0245] I gots me a giiirrrlllfrrrieeennddd :)

[Andrew8Chips] OH just great, another tally on gavin's girl list. isn't she the 6th one this month?

[Fortress0245] pfft. so what?also i met her at the cafr

[Fortress0245] cafe i meant

[Fortress0245] speaking of gfs, when u gonna get one? its been like months!

[Andrew8Chips] listen, ever since chrissy, 

[Andrew8Chips] u no, i aint gonna talk bout this sassy mood crap with u, gotta go.

God, Gavin just annoys the crap outta me, in fact, I don't even know why I'm his friend.

Chris burst into the room, he rubbed his eyes a couple times, tired. 

"So, whatdya need to tell me?" he muttered. He flopped down onto his mattress and yawned. "Maaaan, I am so tired."

I told Chris the whole story that Dusty told me about Johnny, the locket, and the girl he dated after.

Chris looked a bit dazed at first, then he rubbed his eyes again.

He scratched his nose and looked over to a corner before replying back.

"Wow."

I slugged him in the arm and he gave a innocent "What?!"

"Dude! I wasted like, 20 seconds of my life to tell you this! Gimme a better response!" 

Chris then continued with his response by telling me things like "Oh wow! This better be told on the news! I'll call channel 5!" 

"Don't be such a wise-a*s." I snapped and went back to internet surfing.

Chris tore off his shirt and threw it in the dirty clothes pile, he sniffed it and pulled back. 

"Man! When you gonna clean that up?"

"Me? This is your room!" I shot back.

Chris shrugged. "None of us are gonna do it. How 'bout we pay Dusty a quarter to do it for us?"

We exchanged fist bumps.

About fifteen minutes passed. Chris was resting on the mattress whilst snacking on a bag of Mini-Oreos he found in an old jacket. I was on my computer checking out some comics.

"Hey Andy," he said quietly. 

I hated when he called me Andy cause it reminded my of Andy from Toy Story, but I ignored it to keep from having another ten minute argument.

"What?" I asked. He turned and faced me, the corners of his mouth flaked with black crumbs. 

"Who was the girl this Johnny guy dated after Dust?"

"Some chick named Penelope Graid."

Chris then quickly crawled up to me like a cockroach.

"Penelope? Penny? I work with her at McDonalds!"

We then processed everything into our minds about everything that ever happened.

And ate year old Oreos.
