Gothic Masterpiece

Gothic Masterpiece

A Poem by Periac

beauty came from her endless smile

the light that drew me to her from the beginning

she deserves the best this one

and I aim to hand that to her

she begins shedding her thin winter robes

to reveal the pale jewelry store display case

this painting

brilliant as a princess cut

clear and sharp

before her I was left to my dreams

comfortable with costume store treasures

all the while wishing on a mirage of a well

"this one, this one is mine. I'm taking it back, I'm taking em all back"

the bond we now grasp is spider web strong

when compared to scale we are undefeated

over miles when apart her voice becomes a welcome touch

a soothing swans song

a percussion for my exhale

I may not have all the answers

but the only one I ever needed came in the form of her

a ghostly palette

cool blues and dressed paints

a framed Gothic masterpiece drawn easily from my desire
