A Poem by Periac

anew and freshly woken

tis bright now and the angel has spoken

her whimper

welcoming words warm in winter

though

a song heard before I'll still dance along this shore

for I want nothing more than this angel to adore

battle worn now beaming

weakened and gleaming

onlookers confused

for why it's you I choose

you see

not all lepers fond of friends find a cure nor make amends

nor all beggars short of luck wake to find coin a muck

but each may kneel and pray till tears

are wiped away clear of fears

as now they will stand larger than life

to fight again for dreams that might

I can't believe there aren't any reviews on this piece yet, with 20 views. This is the best piece I've read today, absolutely beautiful. I love the casual alliteration sprinkled throughout, and the dreamy feel to the piece sets my mind and soul at ease.
