its the little thingsA Poem by Periacangel you there cloaked lily-white and alright (looking over at you is like reading an unfinished book series) your my muse sweet one your little faint actions scream louder than lonesome crickets echoing
it's the little things the way your shoulder collapses like a melted spear tip into my chest the feathery touch just for reassurance that I'm there its the focused gaze that peers at me when you think I'm not looking it's all the little things it's the cracked brow upon confusion it's the curled lip of desire it's your little girl giggling and raised tones of excitement it's your heart of unlimited gifts a basket of overflowing fruits and pretty flowers
it's all the little things so when we are apart I'm lost this lantern held with no wick these legs attempt to move with no direction
if home is where the heart is it clearly seems I've taken up residence close to the pocket with your chapstick
