autumn in the wood

autumn in the wood

A Poem by Periac

autumn in the wood

surrounded by it's earthy burnt orange

such a time of thanks held steady in her blowing winds

oh wildlings of the forest

come forth with tender gifts of cuddles and comfort

let's announce a feast of friends and family

I

a piper perhaps

the most thankful of all life's minions

given a cache of diamonds within a dreary leather pouch

though

under milky moonlight

polishing

vigorously

as if they were to become any more splendid
