driven

driven

A Poem by Periac

she set the sun down and invited in the cool autumn

sweet the sound of rustling leaves learning flight

clumsy but driven

Alas

calm

enter the new November

on a pauper's prize winning stallion

whimsical in trot

under a flowing oily shadowed smock

her cheeks arched in grin

lily-white soft

cotton

and within each of her whispers I stole a skipping heartbeat

etched into her gaze were stars

glimmering high above

in an echo carried by the melody of a breeze

dawn soon approaches

balancing purples and pinks

all the while

I am certain with the fact I never want to be alone again

I want my last breath to be given to her

You have a way with words, A true talent my friend, I commend your work.
Love this, but my fav, part was...the last line. Deeply romantic,.
