RebirthA Poem by Periacthe rebirth came with glorious grins flopped merrily like beached fish I struggled to hold back my tears as happiness dressed in mud
people paused in sheepish disbelief conformed and narrow gazing afraid to allow their beast to wade
our mud drenched heads popped up from behind a log
oh I would paid for this sight from afar
we wrestled and ate mud pies with a dirty cup brimming with a once splendid idea turned childish and branded fun
when we washed ourselves the rebirth was complete the smile remained
and the memory stored for stories to be born © 2011 Periac |
