travel

A Poem by Periac

I know you

any giggle I pull from the basket is adored

I adore them all

unconditionally

dear moon of my sky

where once I traveled alone

warmed by a few burning twigs for an evening meal

I know travel

and I know beauty

serene the sky that opened and allowed you to take me

pure the star you dressed as

showing you accept me

oh

this evening we held close like a soft warm pretzel

we talked till slumber reared its welcome coat

but the dream didn't start then

I know travel

and I know beauty
