parchment

parchment

A Poem by Periac

crept the glorious breeze that cooled our words

in ferocious passion the tongue whipped

here in these new lands we are bonded

both scared yet open chests

hands clamped together

you said in softly chosen words

"I want all of you"

I pulled out an endless scroll of dirty and singed parchment

scribbled were the words

fear, tears, alone

I handed it over expecting it to wither

much like my brow on the moment of a coming storm
