brandish

brandish

A Poem by Periac

I brandished a spiked tongue as was taught

dear kennel master you would have been proud

though I am not

why do we battle for loudness?

do screams assure victory?

but it was I that imagined these things

as you sat ice voiced in retaliation

how does a simple cloud

one of darkened intention get allowed reign over her sky

yet the fresh clear air of my breathing get polluted?
