ScaredA Poem by Periacyour scared? I'm dropping a weeping heart from uncommon juggling
this path was only dreamed about
but now my friends
it lies before me in plush overgrown beauty and shadows arranged like oily camouflage brush stroked in warm golden fires
on these rickety stilts used to equal your tender whispers I sway with soft blossom scented breezes
why does her path stay shady?
I've come with dirty leathery hands to clear unwanted toxic weeds
in my silent choking laments I pretend I'm wanted dressed in the finest colored browns
upon this invited path I begin in bottles she held thorns they cracked in unison with my heavy steps clever the defense clever the calf
here now I've stepped into a splendid wonder meadow completed by fancy falls
to review steps I aim sights to my crawl to find the heart once sewn on my dirty forearm replaced by puddling crimson pain in fact both barriers of my arms bled heated rivers and in romantic irony thorny kisses left seeping gifts wrapped in a comfort led by desire
so what a sight It 'twas I a dirtied little creature stilted yet worm height swimming heartless in a pleasures meadow
and through a teardrops telescope I peered a ruby dripping flutter off by miles among a cherished paw white in strength her wolf eyes epic of jewels summer sky blue
in soft licks she washed that weakened thin heart
and I in a turtle stride moved forward © 2011 Periac |
