Candy

Candy

A Poem by Periac

if adoration does include devotion then I stand accused and prepared for the century long worship

if exclusive involves the parade of just one then again I'm guilty of being on time

such words fall on the deaf ears of those plagued by disbelief

in silent hours moments before a dream

I'll again come bearing pleas

if beautiful is a delight to all the senses

pray you tell me why the scent of you invokes a garden's watery feed?

pray you tell me how the sound of your soft whimpers breaks the mold of my marble granite smile?

pray tell me why the sight of your charm creates creepy stalker gazes?

oh

and the touch...

the taste....

burning cinnamon and cherries...

luxury lust

tell me oh dear candy sprinkle

if our hearts are not entwined

then why am I so god damn empty when your gone?

Hum.....having a sweet tooth, much? :)
I find this to be one of your better writes (well, at least that I prefer). Although, I think "Candy" is too playful a title for this. I believe it to be more serious than that.

Quite affectionate and longing. One of my favs. :)
