First

First

A Poem by Periac

shivered

beneath a faint moonlight's dress

the air this night was a damp ghost breath

cooled and savory

she stood eyes locked to mine

I crawled to equal her strength

giddy-up while giddy

a small nervous tremble of my stomach

her words warm

a plush melody

as melted candles entwined

the light kitty paws held this open face

she was a doll to me

soft under caress

engaged by the little nibbling one would do to the sweetest candy
