hook

hook

A Poem by Periac

sipping from this mossy cup

how is it I'm intrigued?

the scales have proven balanced

but

without taxes

she sits comfortable from my brow

the dull hook aches from my lip

in a mixture of coppery red saliva

he who remains helpless

begins a courtship with unpredictability

This is dancing on the dark side, it has a simple rhyme that reveals a hidden truth that the reader has yet to find. It would be a good into to a short story.
