the blessing of autumn

the blessing of autumn

A Poem by Periac

I welcome you my dear autumn

bless you for returning to me

luscious muses and brindle shades

bless your maple comfort

and cinnamon smiles

this frosted air coats my overacting emotions

tears be-gone!

please freeze for consumption later

however languished

truth be told

these murky days were my usual dreams

yet

at this time

while alone

I pull up your leafy blanket

remolding my mud pillow

careful to set the twigs aside before they puncture my solace

where once I was held above your falsetto wind

adorned by sunset's pansy pastels

now

I serve saliva bits in troubled sleep to any that dare this (comfort) that I offer

life sure had a grand way of permitting confusion

dear autumn

bless you for listening

wow! a beautiful welcome to autumn...it somewhat felt a little different for other pieces in the same genre...

"this frosted air coats my overacting emotions

tears be-gone"
this paricular line made me think if its a person or a new phase in life that you are welcoming and not just a season...
I am not sure if am right or wrong...but either ways..this is a beautifully penned write!

Beautiful...it occurs to me I haven't written anything for autumn....lol whatever I'm more a winter spring person. As long as it's cold. I like this nice write. Very beautiful words and wise wisdom.

Brilliant! I see the colors and feel the tender sentiments here, and even smell the spicey cinnamon!!
