if i could

if i could

A Poem by Periac

if i could change my gaze

to mingle closer to the sky

i would peer over mountains

from a crystal lake's eye

burrow deep under cover

in combed green hair of summer

majestic this slumber

of an emerald's wonder

listen close to comfort

given by mother

in a golden lit sunroom

caged

inside the crib's bony womb

staged

and its here i fear

where i'll lose my way

by sunrise

Ahhh, sigh.....sweet thoughts of nature's delight. Yet there is sadness.... Or at least I perceive it with your cages. I hate interpreting your writing, it's like trying to define my own. Sometimes, it just is. :)
Still, it is you, P. Love it. :)
