hmm..
to be honest, l didn't get this. l'm not sure if it's cause l'm not up on movies & what not, and simply didn't get the reference, or if l'm missing something else entirely. Anyway, certain lines stuck out as unique - in a good way. ie the ending line, and the "delight and disdain" line. However, aside from the confusion factor, there were a few things that stuck out in a negative way, as well. ie the first line of the last stanza, because no matter how l interpreted it, the only thing l could think of was that itwas suppsoed to be "your."
is it supposed to referring to lord of the rings, by the way? if its' something like that, the confusion problem may be that it's too vague, and jumps from medieval type things - elves & whatnot - to modern day thoughts. interesting write tho, and l'm hoping it'll make more sense later. :)
