A Poem by Periac
"

published "1998" Dusting off Dreams"

"
curse the sharp rain and its ice tears
i enter stage left into this town titled recluse
my minds hermit and servant sealed this shroud

is the sky still blue?
can my eyes be saved?

as i sit and bleed
i enjoy the color as it sings with the darkness

"Hark!" screamed the piper out at sunset
and a cracking of screams from the river's bed
a melody of splashes enjoying the sun

under the mushroom sleeping faithfully
still cringing

he is cold
very cold

perfect just perfect..

it's like an abstract painting, where all the broken slivers of images form to create a very vivid and haunting tale.

such stark words.. chilling me in the best possible ghost story in the wee hours kind of way
