ale

ale

A Poem by Periac

oh ye' came to merry down the fall time ale
so coarse his beard
a rough sandpaper gaze

"let's dine oh burly Sir!"

with the rare acceptance of a beard's trust
his belly led the way

crackling warm and surrounded by furs
glowed the orange heart of a gasping fire

we enjoyed pork to the mountains
we enjoyed frothy ale to the moon

our hearty laughs filled the room

tommorrow i move to wander

reminded me of the great robbie burns.. a very warm and hearty tale. the narrator is sharp and well rounded in my minds eye. i love the tales you tell - in the simplest of words you create this grand deeply detailed novel of people i long to meet
