Rest Your Bones

Rest Your Bones

A Poem by Benjamin

There are spaces in between notes,

tones to rest your bones on,

crawl up and rest there

curl up and sleep where

the deep resonant bass

like soft lace

holds you up--

up to the high trills,

they tickle your breath

like a warm blanket--

they surround you

in sound through the air

and cocoon you tight.

And there was music, and this is how I felt.. To me, this is a most inspiring write. I feel lucky to have read it.
