Biology is to Blame

Biology is to Blame

A Poem by perfectlyadapted
"

inspired by my biochem. lab work

"

magnification

in a dark field

yield to the bright light

feel it pulse and illuminate

your deepest fears

leap from shadow to shadow

in a crowd of inky flowers

dripping hysteria and nightmare

paranoia and power

see it from your collapsing tower

the worst for wear

taste the burden bear in the whiskey sour

the world may be spinning but your balancing

drunk on the edge of the mourning flower petal

waiting for the dirge of a dark blue trumpet

to summon you home
