The Perfect CompanionA Poem by LexiYou, my friend, are old. Run down, worn out, almost to the point of uselessness. Yet here I am, spending more time with you than my closest of friends. You frustrate me, bringing me to tears on more than one occasion. Yet you make me happier than anything else, happier than anyone else. You make me word hard, harder than any of my teachers testing my brain with every day that passes. Yet your lessons preach the most valuable morals, the ones that have helped me discover who I am. You are not a person, but a wooden case filled with chipped ivory slabs. Yet you, my piano, are the best gift the best teacher and the best friend that I’ve ever had. © 2011 LexiReviews
