My first written product. A scathing yet whimsical look at love.

"
Love has to be the most unexplainable emotion in the wide range that we are capable of.  Love, at least to me, is a feeling that simply transcends any words and conventional means of human communication.  It is both the best feeling, and the worst feeling.  It can bring insurmountable joy, and utterly unbearable pain.  There have been many writings and quotes and poems about love, but they all seem to contain the same ambiguity; that little something that is lost in translation between the heart and the pen.  I don't believe that any man could ever hope to explain love in written language, neither the happiness nor the pain. By pure logic alone one would have to deduce that it would be futile to write about love, yet it has been written on by everyone from Sophocles on his ancient scrolls, to LilMissSassy69* somewhere in the blogosphere. Love is something that captures our hearts, our minds and our souls. Love is what separates the "living" from the truly "alive."  Alfred, Lord Tennyson once wrote:

"'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."

I hate to feel the pain, but at least I know I'm alive...

This piece isn't written for "kudos" or to promote world peace; it is simply an inflection of my soul that needs a place to rest.  In closing I'll leave you with a quote that rings all too true...

"A heart breaking isn't always as loud as a bomb exploding.. Sometimes it can be as quiet as a feather falling.. And the most painful thing is, no one really hears it, except you..."

* I totally made up a generic immature-ish sounding girly screen name, any similaries between my character and any persons living or dead is pure coincidence.
