control

first poem ever to be seen by others since i wrote in creative writing way back in the day,, like over 20 years ago!

                     Control

 

                    Control the pain

         never let it out, never reveal

            what you truly feel,

                    inside.

       Fear, frustration, constipation

   backing everything up, wrecking havoc

                on the body

                in the mind.

   Let it go! Rip open the tightly wound package,

              let it spill out

              for all to see.

         But no, cannot let go

        the tightly bound control

              trapped in fear

              of my own self.

ignore my punctuation, grammer please! i haven't written poetry or anything other than essays for nursing school. Last time I wrote for ME was back in highschool over 20 years ago!

This is great! the idea of entrapment, control and constipation being released is something very poignant in this poem! very well written
