Reflections

A bird perched on top of a pine tree

On land that never heard a human cry

Kept on singing, awaiting no reply

Proclaiming he was happy to be free

His song glided over cosmic waves

Suffucing with its notes the universe

Unheard it penetrated consciousness

And all creation felt the symphony

 

A rose blossomed in a secret place

Its beauty was concealed to human gaze

Like rubies shined her petals in the light

When by sunrays were lovingly caressed

 

Its fragrance impregnated land and sea

Its essence imbued the gentle breeze

And stealthly infused the human pores

Offering nurture to the slumbering soul

 

A girl wandered through a hidden path

That led to a secluded flower patch

She smiled at the sight of butterflies

Dancing as they joined seductive blooms

 

Her smile melded with celestial rays

Spreading its glow over earth and sky

Into receptive hearts found its domain

Rekindling our hope in humankind
