Sandscape

Sandscape

A Poem by Penulis Kecil
"

Going through a lot of change, and having a hard time, I was suddenly assailed with the image of myself trapped inside a giant sandscape.

"

while i am trapped in here

the ground shifts beneath my feet,

a steady fall

of everything.

the sky

tilts.

a heartbeat later,

i am on my knees,

blinded, choking,

breathing coloured sand.

you watch a while,

dispassionate,

detached,

before you take another jab.

the sky

tilts.

a heartbeat later,

i slide beneath the shifting sands.
