ScutworkA Poem by Penulis KecilEmotions are so complicated. I think I'd rather do the housework.Today these emotions bubble up, overflow, as suds and soap canvasing the floor.
They tumble through me, unwashed (the washer is on the blink).
Unpaired, I hang them, a parade of socks; a replica of understanding.
Later, that uncomfortable release, my iron's hot pressure; I just want to erase the wrinkles.
