there is always conflict

there is always conflict

A Poem by Penulis Kecil
"

A possible overload of (or at least, a definite recent obsession with) Doctor Who and some mixed feelings on sharing my opinions...

"

blades of ice slicing apart the gloaming

the far-flung stars eat my words

obscure galaxies chewing,

breaking down

swallowing--

my world devouring my thoughts;

now, somehow

i am made of fire--

my centre burns clear.

when we still had satellite, I got a little obsessed with Dr. Who, he was just so darned cute in that little bow tie, and the show was so intelligent, it intrigued me

enjoyed the poem

I can really relate to "the far-flung stars eat my words" and "my world devouring my thoughts." It's interesting how these two ideas are related -- on the one hand, you offer yourself up to the universe and the universe coldly consumes you -- on the other hand, you offer yourself up to the familiar world around you and it, too, eats you up. It's a scary place to be.

Reminds me of the Robert Frost poem "Fire and Ice."
