MigraineA Poem by Penny Luskmind you... I wrote this while I had a migraine.
Pressure building,
Tension rising,
Pain unceasing.
Movement—feels like a rollercoaster.
Light—looks like the sun too close.
Scent—everything is heavily putrid.
Migraine.
Caused by nothing,
Affects everything.
Laying down,
Heart drumming,
Drumming loudly in the head.
Pain in eyes.
Tension building,
Pain unforgiving.
No quick movements,
Only slow actions,
Carefulness.
Fatigued,
Drained,
Migraine.
Sharpness begins on one spot,
Slowly reaching, stretching, expanding throughout the brain,
Pain kissing every part inside the skull,
Mind-splitting, gut wrenching pain…
Sleepiness, tiresome, just lying…
Laying on side, try to relieve the pressure
Falling into slumber, from the pain, slowly easing, releasing from the brain,
Peaceful slumber calming the body
Relaxed,
Content,
Asleep.
Migraine free…
