Assorted TalesA Story by penhiveThese are a collection of Micro-Fiction.The Beggar Today a beggar came to our house and said he is hungry.
I gave him food to eat which he relished with his heart and thanked me
profusely. There is a saying which says that if you help the needy, you are
helping angels and angels come disguised as beggars. I am happy to have helped
someone in need. The Parable of the Good Samaritan Jesus told this parable. In this parable, a man while
on journey was attacked by robbers and his belongings ransacked. Two priests
came that way and they ignored the man. Then a Samaritan man came that way and lifted
up the man and hoisted him on to a donkey and then took him to an inn and gave
the innkeeper money to look after him. Good Samaritan as an idiom means to help someone who
is in need, a person suffering from mental or physical abuse. The grace of God has helped me to be a Good Samaritan
and I have been one several times. Jesus Walking on Water The disciples of Jesus were in a boat when the storm
raged. They cried out to Jesus to help and he walked on water. Walking on water as an idiom means something that
happens which is least expected to happen. A windfall winning is Jesus walking on water, and I hope
such a thing happens to me. © 2021 penhive |
