Quiet Girl

Quiet Girl

A Poem by Jessica

Nobody hears the quiet girl cry,

Nobody sees her gasp at reality,

Nobody understands why she protects her heart wondering how soon it will shatter,

Nobody hears the quiet girl cry,

For no one knows her true capture,

It is the fear of everything and anything,

That is why she hides under her mask,

In plain sight she seems so free,

Because she wears her shell so wonderfully,

Nobody is there when she exposes the truth,

For they don't see the actual reality,

They believe she is perfectly happy, when she is truly filled with a deep sorrow,

She tries to tell but no one listens,

Forever she is silenced by their fantasies,

For nobody asks nor understands why the quiet girl is truly crying,

Because nobody hears the quiet girl .
