My Angel

My Angel

A Poem by Elsie

For some stupid reason I tried to fight against my angel

Yet my angel would not leave my side no matter what I did

Still I didn't stop fighting my angel

For I thought it was better for me to be on my own

My angel didn't think that was correct at all

For my  angel knew that I was hiding a dark secret

That my heart was colder then ice

Yet my angel saw through that and to the invisible thorns

My angel didn't stop there though

For my pain went deeper then the world knew though

Before I knew it my angel saw my blood red tears

That was compared to my pitch black abyss

Now my angel was at a total lose on what to do

I couldn't believe it that even my angel was at a loss

Now I was afraid for I had no clue on what to do

For a long time I had actually believed that my angel had given up hope

At that moment my angel knew exactly what to do

That deep down I was only looking for a friend that would stay by me

So my angel went on a search for that type of person

Little did my angel know that person I was looking for was standing there

Just when I thought I was a lost cause my angel found that person

Today I still try to push my angel away yet my angel isn't going anywhere

For my angel is that person I  had been looking for all along

To this day my angel refuses to be pushed away no matter how much I try

For my angel is here to stay no matter what may happen

Thanks to my angel I can stand here and say life is good
