Dune

Dune

A Poem by Pendantry
"

Here's hoping one day we'll see David Lynch's full epic masterpiece.

"
We go forward
We go back

Beneath a desert, a great worm rests.
The witches breed their grand designs.
Spacing Guild navigators
     Fold
  Space.
Fremen strive, a prophecy rises;
Await the Voice from the Wilderness.

We go forward -

The Tyrant’s reign was for the best:
Mankind has spread beyond confines.
Tleilaxu Masters, old dictators
    Mold
  Spice.
Face Dancers in their subtle guises
Bait the Duncan, with no success.

- we go back

Abomination will be possessed.
A young man struggles with time’s lines.
The Duke Atreides sold by traitor’s
      Cold
Embrace.
The whirlwind’s jihad He despises
The Golden Path His son’s progress.
