Sacrilege

A Poem by Pendantry
"

Just ice? No.

"
Gaia, swirling heaven.
Mankind blossoms, then explodes;
the end: just deserts?

With just eleven words you have spoken volumes. I was guessing that most would have little understanding of the word “Gaia”, so I posted its definitions. If one was to take the second definition you poems jumps off the page as a word painting of vibrant in color on a canvas so large the eyes of the soul can be bombarded with anguish.
But it is not over until it is over, just maybe those of us who care will make enough of a change we will not end up just desert. Thus I just posted my poem “What If We Launched A War”, with the hope it might make some think, and then change their destructive ways.
You write, the way I see it, is a positive salvo in this War to save earth. I am sorry it took me so long to post my thought but I have been off in the Bush, a land with out the trappings of society, a place I call heaven.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear

You speak of a mystery....conception between mother earth and the seed of heavenly man. Deep, provocative, and clever.

The question at the end leaves this open for interpretation. I hope the dominant culture will see the destruction caused by this way of life (and care) before it is too late. Very well done, so much said in these few words.

there is an interesting interplay of genders between your use of swirling gaia and mankind blossoming. Very clever.

Mankind as the end of the earth as it is...surely it could be, I hope not. Simple words with a lot to think about.
